Every Friday over on our social channels, we pick out short films from across the web that have made a particular impression on us. From animations, to narrative and documentary shorts; it's always good to check out other creator's work. You can find our previous round-uphere, butwith another month down, we've compiled all of October's short films into one handy list! Take a scroll down and get inspired!
Produced by Free Hub Magazine, 'Dirt Magic' documents Downieville's transformation from worn out mining town to mountain-biking hotspot. Filled with some pretty stunning drone work and action shots; this is one of the more exciting and interesting documentary shorts we've seen for some time.
We've made it pretty obvious in previous month's that drone-shot travel films are a surefire way to our hearts, and our next pick is no exception. In his latest short film, Garðar Ólafsson soars above Iceland and the results are simply breathtaking. Landscape lovers won't want to miss this.
Taking our round-up into surreal territory, Fernando Livschitz brings us a trippy day at the theme park. With some really mind-boggling and effective visual effects, this makes for one of the more absurd but strangely satisfying shorts we've seen for a while...
We were really blown away by Goh Iromoto's evocative story of the few remaining super tuskers in Kenya. This short documentary looks at those who work tirelessly to protect them. With gorgeous cinematography and a truly important story, this is definitely one to remember. So that's all from October folks!
