Made from 2 years worth of storm time-lapse footage; Mike Olbinski's stunning 'Vorticity 2' kicks off our selection of picks from September. The use of time-lapse photography makes for a hypnotic and completely epic watch but top it off with an ethereal soundtrack, and you have one of the most cinematic looks at weather systems we've seen for a while... and that's not a sentence we expected to ever type.
We love Max Cooper and Nick Cobby's stunning music video, 'Perpetual Motion', because it blends aerial shots of Mexico City and animated geometric overlays. It's a really unique music video and definitely worth a watch!
Our next pick is the charming and wonderfully animated short film, 'The Stained Club'. We love the art style of this one, and it really helps to bring out the emotional beats of the story. It brilliantly explores the effect of emotional abuse on children in a unique and moving way. So if you're a fan of great animation and poignant storytelling you'll definitely want to check this one out!
Our final pick is a bit of a strange one, but definitely worth it for it's stylish aesthetic. Ben Fitzgerald's 'The Mane of a Virgin Horse' is both twisted and funny in equal measure. Mix that with brilliant cinematography and you have a winner!
