How ye dain the day, hen?

Did yeh ken that its Burn’s Night this Sunday?

In honour of the occasion that calls for the masses to chow down on sheep’s pluck, beef fat and lung stock: Haggis, I figured I would attempt to lace my post with Scottish jargon, but it is very hard and probably offensive, so, at best, I might type words like ‘bonnie’ and ‘lass’ throughout the post. DO NOT BE ALARMED.

On the agenda this week, we met with the X-Church group in Lincolnshire on Thursday night to discuss our Awards For All funded Ghost Story Treasure Hunt, getting some local participants on board with the bonnie (see?) project and make a short film.

We’re also in the early stages of planing for our upcoming Japan festival – an event we’ve held before and absolutely loved.

Japan’s rich culture offers so many opportunities for activity and art-making, and we can’t wait to share our ideas, and we’d love for you to suggest some – if you have a favourite director, specific craft or activity that you’d love to see during this festival then contact Rebecca at rebecca(@) or reach us on twitter @japanfest / @creativebp to make your suggestions and find out how you can become involved, eh?

We’ve locked in the workshop dates with film clubs for Into Film’s See It Make It project, we’re thrilled to be a part of such a great programme and to celebrate Into Film’s work with youth filmmakers and enthusiasts around the country.

Completing the final edit for One Me’s charity video, so check back soon to watch the video.

It’s so nippy in the office today, ah wish ah’d brought my baffies (this hurts me more than it hurts you), this is a shot from Rebecca’s cycle ride into work today. IMG_9508
