Client: One Me/EBP
Produced by: Chris Searson, Darren Bolton, David Brook

One Me is a new charity set up by the Education Business Partnership to support young people with advice, training, financial support and bursaries for National Citizen Service within Lincolnshire.

Aware of the potential that video content has in reaching new audiences, One Me wanted to create a film that would celebrate the launch of their new charity and convey their message in a clear, concise and compelling way. They wanted the film to resonate with young people, illuminate their aims and generate further financial support from local business leaders.

We created an original script that was read by 16 young people, voicing various frustrations and hardships that young people may face, whilst illuminating the pathways of support that One Me offers. By cutting between their lines, we created a fast paced film that showcases the vast differences amongst young people who are unified by a shared goal of improving their lives.

To add further impact, we called upon the help of local Lincolnshire Winter Paralympic Medalist Jade Etherington, a public figure who had experienced numerous difficulties acquiring funding as a teenager when she was pursuing her dreams.

Differing edits of the film are available online, depending on the intended audience; the shortest edit is perfect for sharing amongst young people, inspiring them to circulate One Me’s message and guiding their peers towards the charity’s great work.
