As part of our Digital Media contract with Kent County Council we pitched for an innovative campaign to highlight key elements of the Consumer Rights Act to the county. Following our stop motion animation work with the NHBC we felt the medium would be an ideal fit for such a far reaching campaign where simple but memorable messaging was key. After winning the pitch with our proposal we storyboarded the key scenarios that would demonstrate certain elements of the consumer rights act that the general public are often unaware of and are the cause of the majority of calls to the Kent Consumer Protection team. The campaign launched in October and will continue to be pushed through social media channels at key point in the retail calendar where there are specific trigger points for consumer protection requirements such as Christmas sales and return periods in the New Year. The animation was designed for use without sound on social media channels with additional accessible subtitled versions also created. With the stop motion imagery being of such quality we were also able to offer the Council additional marketing materials and potential savings by being able to use key scenes in the film for other print and digital media productions throughout the year. This helped to create a consistent aesthetic across all consumer rights act marketing without additional cost.
