Felcana are an innovative technology startup who have created a new connected device for pets. They received initial start up funding to create prototypes for the device, with the next stage being a public crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. One of the key elements of any Kickstarter campaign is the video. It’s the first item on the page, and for many users will be first point of contact with the product on offer, so it it crucial that it is highly engaging and clearly sells the benefits to the investor. We used a mixture of live action footage of the device in use on cats and dogs, supported by motion tracked infographics to support the key features and benefits of the device to owners. It was important that investors understand the people behind the projects, as they are supporting them just as much as the product. For this reason, the founder of the company, James, bookends the film to explain the key features and serves as a consistent voice throughout to further support the visuals on screen and clarify information. The Kickstarter campaign was a success and we hope to go on to create more content in the near future when the device is launched to the public!
