#AMAZINGFILM BEST SHORT FILMS OF JUNE

Every Friday over on our social channels, we pick out a new short film from across the web that made a particular impact on us. From animations, to narrative or documentary shorts; it's always good to check out other creators' work. #AmazingFilms is our way of showcasing some of the best short films the internet has to offer. With another month down (officially past the halfway point on whatever this year is), we've compiled all of the best short films from Juneinto one handy list! Take a scroll, get inspired, and soak in some stunning creative content.

WE ARE GEORGE FLOYD - JULIAN MARSHALL

The best content is often reactive. Offering an interesting perspective on cultural or societal moments. Our first pick is a perfect example of this. Documenting the current movement across the world, that is pushing for justice against racism. Marshall's straight-to-the-point documentation and storytelling makes for an incredibly vital and important short film. We couldn't recommend it more.

THE LEGEND OF TOMMY G - ANTHILL FILMS

We immediately fell in love with Anthill Films' brilliantly tongue-in-cheek biking short. It follows a legendary mountain biker through second-hand stories combined with action shots and visual gags galore. Combining absurd humour with genuinely stunning sports cinematography helps to create a genuinely refreshing take on the genre. You haven't seen a sports short like this... Trust us.

DRIFTLESS - JONAH PRIMIANO

Our next pick was Jonah Primiano's brilliantly simple, yet seriously effective animated short, Driftless. Using gorgeous hand-drawn animation, Primiano evokes the hard-to-pin feeling of memories with simple vignettes complimented by rich soundscapes. The result is a striking journey through memories, and an example of how sound and vision can work perfectly to evoke feelings.

NOT ALONE IN HERE - DAVID SANBERG

We wish we were sorry to have to end this month on a scary note. David Sanberg has made a name for himself in the the horror scene, moving from small shorts to hollywood features. Now he's back to his low budget ways, with a lockdown creation that is definitely going to stick with us for a while. We'll let it speak for itself...So that's all from June folks! Remember to follow us over on Facebook or Twitter to stay up to date with all of our picks for next month! While you're here, why not check out some of our own projects?
