It’s Friday again, and this week has flown by for us at Blueprint: Film. We’ve been up to our eyeballs in projects, tenders, editing and workshops, and the fun will only continue next week. Luckily for you, dear reader, Lorna has set aside enough time to bring you this handy update on all our activities this week!
This week Chris has been busy doing some more filming at Chesney’s craft workshop. The footage is looking great and we can’t to put it all together. In case you missed it, here’s an Instagram post from the shoot – who films the filmmakers? We do that too.
And as we hinted last week, the Showroom film for Chesney’s is live! Here it is in all its glory. Chris spent most of last week working on this video and we’re really happy with the final product.
Meanwhile Darren has been running around all over London attending meetings for a whole host of projects. There’s a lot of exciting things going on that we’re still having to keep under wraps, but hopefully soon our work will pay off and we can reveal what we’ve been working on.
Laura and Lorna have continued with the workshops at Hoxton Hall, this week planning for a social media themed film to shoot next Monday. The group generated loads of ideas, and could have kept going forever! Eventually we narrowed everything down into two solid ideas, one about cyberbullying and another about a Facebook famous gran!
Up in the Lincoln office, Mikaela has started editing the first of many audio accompaniments for an Interfaith theatre production with Shooting Fish. The production is working with children in three locations, looking at Christianity and Islam and addressing issues with Islamophobia. It’s a lovely project to be part of and so far the children have been doing a fab job with their lines.
We’ve also just been awarded a generous grant from The Arts Council which we’re over the moon about. So Mikaela has also been kicking Japan Festival 2017 into action!
